Donation update

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kevin Bauman @ 3:41 pm

Today I was happy to be able to donate $250 to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, and $100 to Gleaners Community Food Bank. Both charities deal with feeding the hungry…generally people who can’t afford to feed their families. With the holiday season, and winter coming up, I thought it was a good time to donate charities dealing with feeding the needy.

My next donations will likely be to charities that deal with housing the homeless. Winter in Detroit is particularly rough on the homeless. Winter in Detroit tends to be pretty brutal, with cold temperatures, rain, and snow.

  1. I love all the pictures and what you are doing here. I think it is amazing that you are giving back to Detroit with your success. I recently went to Detroit for five weeks on a missions trip and have fallen in love with the city. If you are looking for a charity to donate to, Shelters of Love is a great non-profit. They provide transitional housing and he opens his church up as well to the people of Detroit to stay. I worked with Ryan Morris this summer and he is a great guy serving in Detroit and loving people.

  2. Thanks Hannah. I’m really happy to be able to give back to Detroit, even if just a little bit. And thanks for the recommendation for Shelters of Love, I will definitely check it out before my next donation.
